Prediction for Infonet Tallinn (Est) – Hibernians (Mlt)

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.66

Participation in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League remains a dream for many clubs. Above all, the clubs from the smaller European countries do not even make it into the playoffs, which is why the qualifying rounds are already a highlight. The FC Infonet Tallinn from Estonia and Hibernians Paola from Malta also have a small chance of reaching the group stage. These two teams will play their game on Tuesday. The team from Malta won the first leg with a 2-0 win and can thus travel to Estonia with a great advantage.

Infonet Tallinn (Est)

In the past two years FC Infonet Tallinn has enjoyed the greatest successes of its still young club history. The team, founded in 2002, won the Estonian championship in 2016 and won the Estonian Super Cup and Estonian Cup this year. The reigning champion is on the 4th table place after 17 matches and will not be able to defend his title, as their gap to the table leader FC Flora is already 20 points. Since Estonia also has a small summer break, they finished their last game on 19.06 against JK Trans Narva, but they won 4-1. So they had their first leg in Malta only eight days later, which was lost however. In this game, however, they showed good approaches and kept the 0-0 up to the 62nd game. Worth mentioning: Infonet Tallinn could have taken the lead after five minutes, but Kirill Nesterov missed the penalty. So the hosts decided the duel within ten minutes and were frustrated with FC Infonet Tallinn. Albert Prosa (17 goals in 17 Ligaspielen) and Evgeny Kharin (8 goals in 12 Ligaspielen) are among the great hopefuls of the club. The last two scorer last year scored two goals in the first round of the UEFA Europa League against Hearts of Midlothian.

Hibernians (Mlt)

The guests from Malta bring significantly more experience. They have already played several games on an international level and played in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League in the 02/03 and 15/16 seasons. Last year, the team played in the Europa League’s first qualifying round and beat Spartak Trnava (0: 3.0: 3). Worth mentioning: in the season 15/16 they won the first leg against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the second qualifying round of the Champions League with 2: 1 – but lost the return play clearly with 1: 5. The first-leg win against Infonet Tallinn was their second victory in a qualifying round of the royal class. The team’s hopefuls are Jorginho and Marc Sahanek. While Jorginho scored ten goals and six draws last year, the Austrian Sahanek comes on nine goals and eleven points in the first league of Austria. The commitments of Marco Sahanek and Martin Kreuzlegler were also large coups of the club. An annoyance, however, is the imminent departure of Jorginho, who will change to Saudi Arabia on 20.07.
