Young-Boys-vs-St.-Gallen

St. Gallen – Young Boys SOCCER PICKS

The reigning champions of the Super League Young Boys Bern were able to defend their title this season after the 29th matchday. Who believed that YB would now end the season comfortably, was mistaken. Although it was for the team of coach Gerardo Seoane from the first two games, after the re-championship was established, only one counter. But then the Young Boys revived and won the recent three league games with a total goal difference of 13: 2. On the penultimate round of the match, rival Basel was again humiliated with a clear and highly deserved 3-1 home win. Before on Saturday with the home game against Lucerne the big master celebration in Bern can rise, is on Wednesday evening for YB the last guest play of the season on.

The Young Boys have to compete in the Kybunpark against FC St. Gallen. The FCSG is in seventh place with 42 points, two games to go before the end of the season. The gap to the first European Cup is only one point. With a good result in the home game against Bern, the team of coach Peter Zeidler on the final day of the match would probably get a final game for international business at FC Zurich. But the bookmakers let before the duel St. Gallen. Young Boys do not necessarily speak for the hosts. Also, the betting base rather reckons with a success of the master and thus sets in the game St. Gallen. Young Boys their tip on “Victory Young Boys”.

St. Gallen :

On the last match day, the Green-Whites had already played an important role in the fight for international business with the game in Lugano. Because of a yellow card suspension, the guests had to get along without Tranquillo Barnetta, the most important man in the offensive in recent weeks. In the seventh minute, the home side went through a worth-seeing free-kick goal in the lead. The men of coach Zeidler were in the rest of the season although endeavored, had more possession, but lacked the penetration. The guests also had many standard situations, but as usual, could not capitalize on them this season. Thus St. Gallen scored no hits and went with a 0-1 defeat from the square. In injury time a big foul by Lugano’s Domen Crnigoj gave Majeed Ashimeru a scuffle.

Several players and responsible persons were involved in the brawl. In the end, FCSG assistant coach Ioannis Amanatidis was suspended for two games. With the 0: 1 defeat, the aspens slipped to sixth place. With a lead of only six points to the relegation place in Eastern Switzerland, the topic of “relegation” is not yet completely off. In the second half, however, the eastern Swiss were able to stabilize their defensive. In the 18 games of Hinserie St. Gallen had conceded 34 goals. Currently the FC stands at 22 conceded after 16 games in the second half. Against Bern returns Barnetta, who had recently scored the deciding goals for the victories against the Grasshoppers and Sion, back into the team. For the former Bundesliga player, the game against the Young Boys is the last home game. The striker ends his career after this season. Lüchinger and Wiss are the only two injury-related losses for the hosts.

Young Boys:

The Bernese dominate the Super League again this season. On their way to the second championship title in a row, the Young Boys have already powdered various records in Switzerland. Never before could a team in Switzerland celebrate the championship as early as Bern. 94 goals scored are also a new record. Just like the 88 points and the 27 victories this season. But there are still two games to complete. The master does not have enough. The goal difference is the record at +57 hits so far. Bern is currently at +62. Even with the largest lead on the second in the table should be a new record. Basel is currently 23 points behind the leaders. The previous record has set the FCB with 21 points ahead even in the season 2011/12.

After a small period of weakness, when Coach Trainer Gerardo Seoane’s team scored just one point in the first two games, Bern is currently in top form again. The results of the last three games were 4: 0, 3: 1 and 6: 1. The man of the day in the 6-1 against the Grasshoppers was Gianluca Gaudino, son of former Bundesliga professional Maurizio Gaudino, who prepared the first two goals and the 3-0 scored himself. The top scorer crown will also go to YB. Here Guillaume Hoarau leads the list with 23 goals. His team-mate Jean-Pierre Nsame is in second place with 15 goals. Fassnacht, Aebischer, Sulejmani and Camara are still missing because of injury.
