Linares and Sevilla face off in this second round of the Copa del Rey for First Division teams.
I can’t say much about Linares. Looking at their stats, you can see that they are a team that defends well but attacking is not a big deal. They have only conceded 6 goals in 8 games and have scored 10 goals. They are third in their Second B group and out of 8 games they have scored in 5 of them.
Sevilla already had a very solvent eleven against Lucena and they won 0-3 with hardly any problems. A match in which they did not push much but they did not suffer either. They got to put one more march and won by a landslide.
For this game, I expect a team very similar to the eleven against Lucena. Julen is sure to make some changes but he will play with all first team players since he has a very large squad.
Lopetegui has already said that they do not want to trust each other. Last season they messed it up against an inferior rival like Mirandés and he has said he does not want surprises.
Sevilla is a very difficult team to score. Only 11 goals in 17 league games and they have to do it very badly or a big mistake they have to commit for a Second B team to score a goal.
Except for isolated play or set pieces, Linares will hardly have chances.
As I said in the previous round, the public factor is very important for these lower teams and not being able to play with a full stadium is a handicap for them.
