Jong PSV – Eindhoven FC SOCCER PICKS

You could see it as the Eindhoven derby. On Monday evening, Jong PSV is scheduled against FC Eindhoven and it will be a blood-curdling game at De Herdgang. Young PSV is underperforming and can use a victory well, while FC Eindhoven is doing quite well. Who wins the Eindhoven derby.

Young PSV:

The promises of Jong PSV are no longer what it was last year. They ended up nicely in third place last season, but meanwhile the team of Peter Uneken is sixteen places lower than that final ranking. With seven points, they are only one point ahead of FC Dordrecht. Jong PSV is particularly weak on a defensive level and has already had 21 goals. They only won against Young AZ and FC Volendam and apart from a draw against FC Den Bosch, every match was lost. The 3-0 defeat against Jong FC Utrecht and the 5-2 defeat against Excelsior were particularly painful. If Jong PSV is put under good pressure they can hardly combine and this is the opinion that you should have against a club like Jong PSV.

NEC failed to score a nice score against Young PSV last Friday. It wasn’t sparkling from either side, but Young PSV had enough chances to hurt NEC. Especially in the first half the Eindhoven promises had many chances, but they did not succeed in shooting the ball into the goal of NEC keeper Branderhorst. Determining player Cyril Ngonge had the biggest chances. In the end Zian Flemming managed to score the only goal and Jong PSV lost 1-0.

FC Eindhoven:

FC Eindhoven has a changing season start. The club is in ninth place and it’s going through peaks and troughs at the Eindhoven club. Under the leadership of Ernie Brandts, FC Eindhoven is doing reasonably well, but the club has had to deal with a lot of setbacks for this stage of the season. The loss against Helmond Sport, the 4-0 defeat against De Graafschap and the 6-0 defeat against Young Ajax were extremely painful. The club is still undefeated in its own Jan Louwers stadium and the club leaves a very strong impression in home games.

The same happened last Friday against NAC Breda. Via a wonderful goal from Joey Sleegers, the Eindhoven team took the lead, but a few minutes later they were awarded a penalty. Sydney van Hooijdonk used the penalty and the teams were tied. FC Eindhoven wanted to go full for the victory and almost equalized the 2-1 from the kick-off via Samy Bourard. After a good save, the ball did not go in, but a few minutes later, Bourard scored the goal. Five minutes before the end, NAC was tied up via Roger Riera. And more opportunities followed for NAC, but they remained untapped. FC Eindhoven played an impressive draw against a title candidate.
