Changchun Yatai – Shanghai SIPG Prediction & Picks (29.04.2018)

Match of the eighth round of the Chinese league between the Changchun Yatai and the Shanghai SIPG.

The Changchun is currently 12th, having come out of the relegation after two recent victories against Guizhou and Hebei, possibly the two worst teams in the league (even worse than Dalian who is bottom). However, it is still a very limited team. With a great dependence on their striker Ighalo, the rest of the team lacks the offensive wickers of other Chinese teams.

For its part, Shanghai is a real team and for me, the best in the country. With super-cracks like Óscar the Brazilian and above all Hulk, a real physical abuse in this league of little players and little strength, should rise like the champion of this tournament respecting the everlasting champion Guangzhou Evergrande, although for me they already advanced them in quality. They complete their eleven with two excellent Asian players, such as Wu Lei (one of the top scorers in the league, and China’s starting striker) and Uzbek midfielder Odil Akhmedov, a real leftover for the league: talent for defense, good shot and a lot of criteria for the organization of the team … If it were not for the powerful gentleman, money would have arrived in Europe without problems.

A lot of difference in level and I think that this quota is mediated by the recent victories of the Changchun, which, as I say, are quite natural and should not make us draw exaggerated conclusions. Hopefully the leader will continue with an iron hand.
