Braunschweig – Munich 1860 SOCCER PICKS

Probably the best 3rd league of all time started in the new season last weekend and made you want more! In this analysis, we take a look at the game between the Lions from Braunschweig, who made a very strong appearance on Matchday 1 in Magdeburg and the 60s from Munich, who missed a threesome at the start.

After the completely messed up last season, the Lower Saxony under the new coach Christian Flüthmann this year as one of the candidates for promotion to the 2nd League traded. In addition to Eintracht also succeeded the second division relegated from Duisburg an impressive start, because the zebras stormed directly to the top of the table.

The financially troubled Munich lions will have to bake rather small rolls this season. The goal is the early relegation. In order to score points in Eintracht, they must not allow themselves such a weak first half, as for the opening match against Münster, because that would probably be immediately punished by the blue and yellow. The referee will call the match at the Eintracht stadium on Saturday afternoon at 13:00. Does Eintracht succeed in the second victory and thus the perfect start to the season?

Braunschweig:

What is the year behind the Braunschweiger Eintracht? As a promotion favorite went into the season, the blue and yellow had long been afraid of relegation. Only on the last match day succeeded by a 1-1 draw against the direct competitor from Cottbus to secure the league whereabouts. Those in charge want to spare themselves this thrill this year. Care should be taken to ensure the new sports director Peter Vollmann and the new head coach Christian Flüthmann.

Flüthmann was promoted from co-coach to head coach one day before the start of training, as the hitherto under contract Andre Schubert moved to second division Kiel. He is now to direct the fortunes of the BTSV and ensure that at the end of the season as possible, the rise in league 2 can be celebrated.

The prelude has already succeeded the Lower Saxony. In the top match of the first matchday, the Löwen won 4-1 at 1. FC Magdeburg. In a thrilling and rousing game, new signing Martin Kobylanski became Man of the Match. With his goals to 1: 0, 2: 1 and 4: 2-final score he defeated the Magdeburg almost single-handedly. So are the Braunschweiger after the first match on the second place behind the MSV Duisburg, who won the opening match 4-1 against SG Sonnenhof Großaspach.

The victory on Matchday 1 was certainly a good indication of what the team can do this season. That was not clear after the preparatory games. Although the unterklassigen teams from Calberlah, Bad Harzburg and Gifhorn clear defeated, but there were also significant defeats against the Bundesliga from Berlin (1: 4) and Hoffenheim (0: 3).

After the conversion of the squad had already been initiated in the winter break of the past season, could this summer again be well refilled. Especially on the offensive, two players were signed with Nick Proschwitz and Poland’s Martin Kobylanski, which should give the fans a lot of pleasure.

Kobylanski has already proven his scoring skills on matchday one. In the match Braunschweig vs 1860 Munich we meet the prognosis that Eintracht has a very good chance to start the season with two wins.
In any case, coach Flüthmann will continue to miss the two long-term injuries Stephan Fürstner and Felix Burmeister. With Leon citizen, who pulled an outer band tear, probably falls out another player. Goalkeeper Fejzic suffered a minor concussion in Magdeburg, so his job is on the loose.

1860 Munich:

Due to a financial consolidation course, the belt has to be tightened a lot more tight this year. Many players have left the club, but with Timo Gebhardt, Dennis Erdmann and Simon Seferings, only three players joined the 60s. However, those responsible with Gebhardt and Erdmann have convinced two players who bring a lot of experience in the squad.

The goal this year is clear. The relegation should be secured as quickly as possible. To kick off the Munich received in the Grünwalder Stadium, the Prussians from Münster. After a frighteningly weak first half, they went well with a 0-1 deficit in the break. But boss-coach Daniel Bierofka must have found the right words at the tea break, because in the second round his eleven was not recognizable.

With neat power football, the opponent was set in his own half and it was only a matter of time until the deserved equalizer by Phillipp Steinhart fell by penalty. Despite a final phase in which the 60s tried everything again, it was ultimately in a 1-1 draw.
The current personnel situation does not make the task easier for coach Bierofka and his team. With Quirin Moll, Semi Belkahia, Nico Karger and Eric Weeger, some players are out of action for the match on Saturday. A ray of hope is the return of Stefan Lex, who has returned to team training after his injury this week. It will probably be too early for a 90-minute stint and he will take on the role of joker. It remains to be seen whether veteran Timo Gebhardt will be called into the starting eleven.

Now it’s time for the 60s to Braunschweig. In the Eintracht Stadium, Munich could not celebrate a threesome for six years. Much will matter if they get the offensive power of Lower Saxony under control.
