Cardiff – Arsenal Prediction & Picks (02.09.2018)

Arsenal will visit a PhD student this weekend. This Arsenal still has to win from Cardiff City, although Arsenal can not convince this season.

Cardiff City:

Cardiff City has not won this season in the Premier League. That is not, however, a disaster. With two points from three matches, the club from Wales does not do bad since the return. At the moment Bournemouth was only lost 2-0, but that was the first match at the highest level for Cardiff and The Bluebirds were not completely eliminated. Cardiff City is not completely eliminated this season anyway and that is also the merit of Neil Warnock. It is not true that Warnock was allowed to throw in millions during the transfer period and that makes it all the more funny that Cardiff already has two points.

However, the season is still a long one and that is only too well known at Cardiff. Last weekend, Warnock’s men got a point at Huddersfield Town: 0-0. A week earlier, Cardiff City also played without a scoreless draw. Cardiff City is the only team that did not score in the Premier League this season and the problem is also largely at The Bluebirds. Midweeks Cardiff City scored in the League Cup against Norwich City, but that game was well lost (1-3).

Arsenal:

Unai Emery did not start the season at Arsenal as he had hoped. The Spaniard only managed to win once in the first three games and that is simply not enough for Arsenal concepts. Of course, Arsenal’s program was difficult because Manchester City and Chelsea are simply title candidates. Of those two teams was lost and certainly in the match against Manchester City Arsenal was bad for the day. The 0-2 loss was still softly expressed, but the supporters were not happy at the Emirates Stadium.

They were that last weekend when West Ham United came to visit. Emery saw West Ham United that his team was behind for the third time this season, but Arsenal recovered. Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck were able to score on behalf of The Gunners and Arsenal took West Ham United ahead with an own goal from West Ham. Yet Emery will not be convinced of the game that Arsenal played against West Ham United. If The Gunners visit Cardiff City, it’s better to play football, but that should not be at the expense of the result.
