Lautern – Fürth, after a goalless draw on Wednesday, they both meet directly. And especially for the 1. FC Kaiserslautern, which as table fourteenth only two points before relegation place 16 and also only three meters before the first descent rank, is something at stake. The SpVgg Greuther Fürth plays a good backround and is thereby as a table sixth beyond good and evil.

At the end of a first round with ups and downs, there were 19 points for the 1. FC Kaiserslautern. However, it was still uncomfortable due to the surprising resignation of coach Tayfun Korkut. With Norbert Meier, however, a quick replacement was found, which after a missed start at Hannover 96 (0: 1) seven points from the three matches against the Würzburger Kickers (1: 0), Fortuna Dusseldorf (1: 1) and SV Sandhausen (3-0). Since then, however, the Red Devils have remained victorious and moved closer to the endangered area. After a 2-0 defeat at VfB Stuttgart, the FCK beat Dynamo Dresden (3: 3) and 1. FC Heidenheim (1: 1) at least two draws, but then conceded with Arminia Bielefeld (0-2) and against Eintracht Braunschweig (0: 1) two defeats, before on Tuesday at VfL Bochum would have been more than a goalless draw.
Apart from the long-time injured Mensur Mujdza, coach Meier is likely to have all the men on board, but probably will not change much.

Greuther Furth

The SpVgg Greuther Fürth is currently in very good condition and this seems closely linked to the name Janos Radoki. After fifteen points from the first 13 games under the then dismissed coach Stefan Ruthenbeck, Radoki earned the promotion from the last four matches before Christmas from the Interims- to the Cheftrainer. And after the opening match with a 1: 2 at the TSV 1860 Munich were still beaten, Fürth has now undefeated nine league games. At the start, Heimsiege beat Hannover 96 (4: 1), Fortuna Düsseldorf (1: 0), 1. FC Nürnberg (1: 0) and VfB Stuttgart (1: 0) with away games against Erzgebirge Aue (0-0 ), The Würzburger Kickers (1: 1) and the SV Sandhausen (1: 1), but last but not least it looked different. While the SpVgg at the 1. FC Heidenheim landed the first away win in the year 2017, it against Eintracht Braunschweig (0-0) for the first time since the winter break was not home.
With Zlatko Tripic, Matthis Bolly and Sebastian Freis, three offensive rivals are injured. Independent of this, changes are possible. Jurgen Gjasula after a long injury break and the one against Braunschweig surprisingly out of the starting line Serdar Dursun are hot candidates for the first eleven.
