Holstein Kiel – Karlsruher SOCCER PICKS

Premiere in the second Bundesliga. This is neither for Holstein Kiel, nor for the Karlsruher SC, but although it sounds a bit strange, together, these two clubs have not yet been in the German lower house, which is only in part true, because as the second Bundesliga still in North and North South was subdivided, the two opponents played there, of course in different seasons.

Störche and Badener have never quarreled over points. Now comes for the first time to a league game, with both teams have already met once in the Cup, and indeed in 1978, so more than 40 years ago. Whether the KSC after the defeat still has an invoice with Holstein open, we dare to doubt.

In 2019/2020 the storks will once again be expected to play hard. By now you could get used to the fjord meanwhile. Even before the game between Kiel and Karlsruhe, no one takes the forecast to a hard time storks more seriously. The start of the season could still have run better, because a point from two games are for the Kiel already almost as a false start to call.

For the KSC, however, it is much better. Karlsruhe got off to a great start and has the perfect six-point result from two games in the league. Thus, the Elf of Alois Schwartz is at the top of the classification, at least before the start of the third matchday.

In addition, the KSC was also successful in the DFB Cup and has cleared a very serious chunk with Hannover 96 out of the way. The Kielers, however, had an easy match in Salmrohr and are also waiting for their opponent in the second round. Maybe the knot at Schleswig-Holsteinern has burst, but in the match between Kiel and Karlsruhe we tend to a tip on an away win.

The sovereignty of the KSC in league and cup has impressed us quite a bit. In addition, there is an enormous strength in standards that may meet the front runners on Saturday at the fjord. The kick-off for the third matchday in the second Bundesliga between Holstein Kiel and Karlsruher SC in the Holstein Stadium will take place on 18.08.2019 at 12:30.

Kiel:

Once again Holstein Kiel has left feathers. All the stars who have led the club into the second division and knocked on the gate to Bundesliga, are no longer there. Most recently, David Kinsombi, Kingsley Schindler and Kenneth Kronholm have left the club. New coach Andre Schubert must now see that he gets a new team built up.

In the second Bundesliga, things did not go very well so far. For the season opener, the storks had presented more than just a 1-1 draw against SV Sandhausen. After the defeat on Matchday 2 in Darmstadt Holstein is now under pressure before the second home game of the season.

Whether we would use the odds for a home win in the duel between Kiel and Karlsruhe is more than questionable. After all, the eleven of Andre Schubert could get rid of the frustration a little last weekend, because in the DFB Cup, the Kiel had no trouble to prevail in the Oberliga side FSV Salmrohr.

At the end there was a sovereign 6: 0 on the scoreboard. But you should not overestimate this success against the amateurs. It was interesting that the new arrivals have stung. Makana Baku, who came from Großaspach to the fjord, was three times successful. Also David Atanga was able to register in the scoresheet. In addition, Finn Porath and Jae-Sung Lee met.

This victory should now give lift for the second Bundesliga, where the Kiel are doomed on Sunday points. For Jonas Meffert, who played for a few years at KSC, it will be a special match.

Although many of his companions no longer play in Karlsruhe, he has continued to watch the club and knows that the Baden come on mentality and travel after a great start to the season with a lot of euphoria in the luggage to Kiel.
Personnel could not look better at the Kiels. Only Yann-Aurel Bisseck and Jannik Dehm will not be available to Andre Schubert, who actually has no reason to change in comparison to the previous week. But it is likely that Jonas Meffert slips against his former club in the starting lineup.

Karlsruhe:

Who would have thought that a newcomer leads the classification in the second Bundesliga after two matchdays? The Karlsruher SC is the team of the hour in the German Unterhause and stands after two victories from two games and the most scored goals deserved as leaders.

It could not have been better this far. After the duty in the second Bundesliga, the Baden in the DFB Cup also managed the free skate. As a former third division KSC was still in the pot of the amateurs in the first round of the cup. This means that at least a second division should be the opponent.

With the Bundesliga relegated Hannover 96 Karlsruhe had not caught the slightest fate. However, the team of Alois Schwartz has mastered this task with flying colors. Over 90 minutes, the Karlsruher were superior to their opponent and won at the end of highly deserved 2-0. Shortly after the break Lukas Grozurek scored to 1: 0. Only a little later, Marvin Wanitzek converted a penalty to make it 2-0.

The Karlsruher was no longer in danger, on the contrary. A higher defeat would have been quite possible for Hannover. This appearance was already very sovereign. If the Baden on Sunday in Kiel to build on this performance, then remains in the game between Kiel and Karlsruhe almost only a forecast on the third win of the season KSC.

Alois Schwartz therefore also tries to ride the wave. He knows his players are currently on a cloud of euphoria.

Everything is pink at the moment and the support of the fans does the rest. In this constitution, the Karlsruher SC can do a lot. If we only stay at the weekend, then an away win and the consolidation of the standings should be possible.
Personnel it looks like Burak Camoglu with a hamstring is still not operational. A strain hampers Saliou Sane, Sven Müller is missing after his intervertebral disk operation. A violation of the unusual way prevents the use of Janis Hanek, who plays a barley grain under the eye currently evil.
