Inter – Slavia Prague SOCCER PICKS

“Ce sont les meilleures équipes” – the world-famous Champions League anthem is back in high season, as this week’s group stage begins in the premier class. Since last year, there have been two games per match date at 17:55 .

In the group of deaths around Barcelona and BVB on Tuesday at the early game date the duel between Inter Milan and Slavia Prague takes place.

The Czech double winner is the blatant outsider in this group and any point win can be described as a surprise in advance. A downer of the three big favorites against the underdog could have far-reaching consequences in the fight for the round of 16. For the Nerazzurri the home game is a kind of “mandatory victory”.

Inter Milan :

Confidence should not be lacking for Neo coach Antonio Conte’s team. After three games in the Italian Serie A, the 2010 Champions League winner is currently the only team with a bright white vest.

Inter celebrated a 1-0 home win against Udinese Calcio on Saturday night. A game in which the result is the only positive aspect. The Nerazzurri were just over an hour in the majority, but could hardly play any significant scoring chances. However, Inter did not let the defensive play and thus prolonged the strong start to the season.

Conte, who followed Luciano Spalletti, has a clear mandate from investors in China. The return to the throne is the big goal, the Scudetto is finally back to Milan. At the same time, the club’s management had to pay a lot for the Conte commitment. The former Juventus and Chelsea coach is to earn 11 million euros net and gets twice as much as Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

But not only the coach was the club management cost a lot, but also on a personal level there were expensive signings. Romelu Lukaku is the new hope in the offensive, which should make Mauro Icardi forget. The expectation is huge. All the more important was the perfect start to work in peace.

International failed Inter Milan last year in the group stage despite two first-round victories. After the Milanese had eight times the group stage in series, Inter had to be content in the spring of 2019 with the Europa League. There was the Aus from Frankfurt Eintracht to cope.

In front of his home crowd, Inter is playing very hard and has lost just one of the last seven international home games – against Eintracht Frankfurt. Among other things, there was a point win at home against Barcelona in the previous year. The clear favorites role in the duel between Inter Milan and Slavia Prague according to current rates is therefore quite understandable.

Slavia Prague:

For the first time in club history Slavia Prague was able to celebrate the double win in the past season. After the fifth league title in the club’s history, the Czechs once again started in the Champions League qualification and mastered this with two wins against the Romanian champions CFR Cluj.

Thanks to the two 1-0 victories Slavia Prague is now back in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League for the first time since the 2007/08 season. At that time, the Czechs finished third, a result that would make Slavia Prague an outstanding result in FK this season.

Prior to the two victories against Cluj, Slavia Prague had a horror record in the premier class (qualification and group stage), there was only one victory in 15 games (seven draws, seven defeats). In the Europa League, the Czechs were quite convincing.

In the past season, among other things, the great Sevilla FC was eliminated in the knockout phase, before it was the end against the eventual winner Chelsea to cope. The strong form of the past season has allowed Slavia Prague to transport the current season.

After nine games in the Czech Fortuna League, the team of head coach Jindrich Trpisovsky is again sovereign league leaders. With 23 of 27 possible points (7-2-0 balance), the champion is again at the top of the table. Outstanding is the defensive; Goalkeeper Ondrej Kolar had to concede only two goals in nine league games.

Confidence should not be lacking for the Czechs, who have been without a competitive match since 21 April (since then they had a 16-4-0 record). Of course, Inter Milan is a different caliber than Slovacko or Bohemians Prague. Despite superior form we recommend between Inter Milan and Slavia Prague no tip for a point win of the Czech guests.
