Unionistas – Real Madrid SOCCER PICKS

The modest Unionistas is on Wednesday evening for just as much global football news, because the Spanish third-division team will compete against none other than Real Madrid in the sixteenth finals of the Copa del Rey! The Madrilenians will experience a culture shock in the tiny Las Pistas.

Unionistas:

Unionistas is on the eve of its most important game ever in its early club history. The team was founded seven years ago by supporters, after their favorite club UD Salamanca was destroyed. The Spanish third division team managed to reach the main tournament of the Copa del Rey for the second time this season, and can therefore compete with the big Real Madrid on Wednesday evening. Immediately after the draw it was of course a big party. “Zinedine Zidane is no doubt already doing it in his pants of fear,” one of the players joked.

This competition is already legendary for Unionistas, and the 4,000 tickets were of course sold like hot cakes. The black-and-white, who were promoted to the Segunda B last season, had a difficult start to the season, but have already won nine official games in a row. That series will almost certainly come to an end on Wednesday evening, but if the home club manages to score, the small Las Pistas will burst at the seams!

Real Madrid:

For Real Madrid, the trip to the picturesque but tiny Las Pistas is of course a huge culture shock. The football giant is naturally accustomed to the luxury of the Santiago Bernabeu, but is therefore allowed to work on a refined amateur complex on Wednesday evening. “We hardly have any hot water,” said Piojo, the leader of Unionistas. “The players who are the last to have a shower can literally count on a cold shower.” The field is also far from ideal for the technical football of the Madrilenians. The field of Las Pistas was covered with a thick layer of snow the day before the match.

Real Madrid’s match selection is not yet known at the time of writing, but it is obvious that Zidane will play with a B-team and leave his star players at home. The Koninklijke, however, has a reserve bank to make your mouth water. Players like Brahim Diaz, James Rodriguez, Alvaro Odriozola, Nacho Fernandez and Alphonse Areola will probably get the chance to show their qualities, supplemented by some players from the second team.
