The St Mirren team’s main objective is maintenance in this edition of the Scottish Premiership. He enters this third round of the league with three points, which allows him to occupy, for the moment, sixth place in the leaderboard, two points ahead of St. Johnstone (the one with a less disputed game) and Kilmarock. After beating Livingston (1-0) on their debut, Jim Goodwin’s team failed to resist the superiority evidenced by title contender Rangers in Glasgow last Sunday, leaving St Mirren Mirren defeated 3- 0.
Celtic :
Celtic have maintained the hegemony of Scottish football in the last decade and their aim is to renew their title of national champion this 2020/21 season. Neil Lennon’s team has not started the league exactly as intended, as they have lost their first points, thus adding only four points, leaving Celtic in fourth place in the leaderboard, two points behind Hibernian, Rangers. and Ross County. After winning and convincing with a 5-1 victory on their home debut against Hamilton, the Glasgow team failed to win on the trip to Kilmarnock, tying at one ball last Sunday. It was a game in which Celtic opened the scoring at minute 11, by Christie, and saw the rival draw, from a penalty, at 13 minutes. In the second half, Celtic had more offensive initiative, but failed to overcome Kilmarnock’s defensive organization.
