This weekend the two semi-finals will be played in the FA Cup, the oldest cup competition in the world. Both games take place on a large stage, especially at the Wembley Stadium in London. Arsenal FC and Manchester City duel on Sunday. A game of two big names in English football! And yet she is in the shadow of the match between Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur, which takes place on Saturday. This is where the two top teams from the Premier League meet. The Favourite? Chelsea

Will Chelsea still have shaky knees? The lead at the top of the Premier League has shrunk from just ten to ten points from just ten points! Only the few would probably have believed at the end of March that Chelsea could take the master title, but currently the master question is again quite exciting. Without Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan or Carrick in the starting lineup and without the injured Mata and Rooney the Red Devils won 2-0 and made the title fight exciting again. In ninety minutes at Old Trafford, Chelsea did not get a shot on goal from Manchester United! An unusual record of the Blues, which had only five goal attempts at all.

As a result, the lead over Tottenham is just four points. In addition, Chelsea with a plus plus 38 goals against the Spurs with plus 46 goals the worse goal ratio. Notable: Chelsea have scored at least one hit in the last ten matches in the Premier League. In the FA Cup, on the other hand, Chelsea have not caught a single goal in the last three rounds, and have thrown 1-0 out of the competition in the quarter-final against Manchester United. Only in his first appearance in the round of the last 64 Chelsea conceded the only single contender in four FA Cup games in the 4: 1 success against the sublime Peterborough United.

Tottenham

On the weekend the Spurs opponents Bournemouth beat easily and loosely with 4: 0 and thus celebrated the eighth mandatory game in a row – seven in the Premier League, one in the FA Cup. Six of these eight victories were, however, brought home. Now, Tottenham must not only go abroad, but also in London’s Wembley Stadium. This is due to the fact that Tottenham has played his Europapokalspiele in this stadium. And the yield is rather sobering: in the Champions League Tottenham lost in Wembley against Monaco with a 1: 2 and against Bayer Leverkusen with 0: 1. Only against CSKA Moscow the Spurs achieved a 3: 1 success. In the Europa League, Tottenham also played in this arena, but failed in the 16th place. After a 0: 1 in Gent, there was only a 2-2 defeat in Wembley. The Wembley Stadium seems to be a good pavement for Tottenham this season.

Against Chelsea, the Wembley curse is now to be defeated. How weak this balance in Wembley is, however, becomes clear only at the balance sheet at the domestic White Hart Lane. Because of seventeen home games in the Premier League at White Hart Lane, Tottenham has not lost any. There were fifteen victories and only two draws! Tottenham is the best home team and won three FA Cup games and a match in the Ligapokal. Perhaps it helps that Tottenham is led in this part in Wembley as an away team.
