Betting tips for Genoa vs Palermo
Genoa after yesterday’s victory in the postponed match against Fiorentina is comfortably placed in half-table to 14 points of the down positions. He remains undefeated in his stadium with four wins and four draws and teams like Juve or Milan have not been able to scratch here.
The other side of the coin is Palermo, Colista Serie A and seems to be evicted if things do not change much. In part it is due to his regrettable record at home where he has not yet got a miserable point, eight losses in eight games.
Far from their stadium is where they are giving “something” performance. Although they have four straight defeats they have competed until the end in all the parties except during their visit to the Olimpico of Rome where they fell defeated by 4-1, something normal.
On the other hand, and what interests us, is that we are talking about two of the three teams most admonished in the league, along with Cagliari.
They have received between the two ten red cards.
Genoa after yesterday’s match adds 45 yellow cards and six red cards for a median of 3.56 cards per game (bearing in mind that for the purposes of the bet red double vale) and the Palermo adds 41 yellow and three red cards (Average of 2.94 cards per game).
Genoa’s home average soars to 3.62 with three or more cards in seven of their eight home games, while Palermo also raises their home average to 3.12 cards per game. Of course, he has only received three or more cards in three of his eight games.
Last season they showed five yellow cards and one red in the Genoa thrashing 4-0 in a game that led Domenico Celi (an average of 5.81 cards last year and 4.0 this season).
And for this meeting the nominee is Luca Pairetto. He does not have much experience in Serie A, since, despite making his debut four seasons ago, he has only managed 12 games in this category.
Still, in the five games he has refereed this season has shown 25 yellow cards and two red cards (an average of 5.8 cards per game) beating the line proposed in four of his five matches.
In fact, he has surpassed the 5.5-card line in nine of his 12 games in this category. He did not get past Napoli in a 5-1 win at Verona, where he showed three cards in the Cagliari at Empoli (0-4) where he showed four cards and this season at Crotone-Chievo (2-0) where Showed three cards.
With this, given that two of the most carded teams in the league are facing each other, that the referee now has a good average and the need of Palermo to add I will try this line that at first seems feasible.
