Russia – Spain Prediction & Preview and Betting Tips (14.11.2017)

We are going with the second match of this mini friendly tour that the Spanish team has had in the face of the World Cup in Russia to be held in 2018.

On this occasion, on Tuesday at 18:45 pm the Spanish team will face the hosts of the World Cup (Russia) at Luzhniki Stadium.

As usual, the selection of Lopetegui is winning and in a very convincing way to all the rivals he faces, either in friendly or official matches, such as the qualifying phase for the World Cup.

Spain is winning by being considered as one of the favorites to take the World Cup, as it is winning very comfortably and showing that it has a very dangerous and difficult to stop play style.

For these two games, Lopetegui summoned these 25 players: De Gea, Reina, Kepa; Sergio Ramos, Piqué, Bartra, Odriozola, Nacho Fernández, Jordi Alba, Alberto Moreno; Isco Alarcón (lost by injury to Costa Rica), Luis Alberto, Saul, Asensio, Busquets, Thiago, Iniesta, Illarramendi, Suso; Callejón, Vitolo, Iago Aspas, Morata, Silva, Rodrigo.

I imagine that he will continue to do some rotations in order to try less usual players, but I think that any team that takes the field will be far superior to what Russia may have and that surely creates many problems.

On the other hand is the Russian team, who is seeing that despite hosting the World Cup does not find a way to get good game and results that encourage the public or that there is a minimum hope of achieving some positive result in the world championship.

It is a selection that has very physical players, but many of them lack technique and that against a team like Spain can make you suffer a lot.

It is true that they lead players like Alan Dzagoev, Fedor Smolov or Alexander Kokorin, but I do not think they are capable of stopping the offensive potential of the Spanish team.

Being the country that hosts the World Cup, has not had to play the previous phase and this I think is something that plays against and that although they have played friendly matches, are not disputed with the same intensity as official competition matches and can be to take something lacking in rhythm.

If we analyze the last 14 games played by the Russian team (since September 6 last year, which started the group stage matches of the qualifying phase), we see how they have achieved quite mediocre results: 5 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeats. (some delegates before selections such as Qatar, Costa Rica or Ivory Coast).
