Paris SG – Caen Prediction & Picks (12.08.2018)

Next weekend, the Ligue 1 resumes its championship operation. As in previous years, this season Paris SG is the biggest favorite on the title. In the last season, the captains secured next to the championship nor the Coupe de France and the Coupe de la Ligue. Thus, the Parisians in every French competition enter as defending champion. On Sunday evening Paris Saint Germain rises in the home game at the Prinzenpark against SM Caen in the season 2018/19. In the three clashes in the past season, the two teams drew separately once. However, at that time the championship was already decided and Paris did not act with the best players. For Caen, however, it was still on the last day of the game to the league. For the opening duel between Paris SG and SM Caen we decided on a tip for the home team. As the betting odds do not rise above 1.10, we have made our tip more difficult or rather optimized.

For Paris SG the summer break was very intense. Main focus was on the transfer of goalkeeper legend Gianluigi Buffon. For Paris, the preparation was moderately not very successful, at least as a result. Against Arsenal and Bayern Munich, the French conceded at the ICC clear defeats. Only against Atletico Madrid could PSG prevail. Last Saturday, Paris dueled with Monaco for the Super Cup in Shenzhen. Although the best offensive players were missing, PSG scored four goals. Caen:

Of the successes of Paris SG, the SM Caen can only dream. But of course, the financial resources and expectations on the south coast are quite different. Last season, Caen narrowly secured the league. In the end, the South of France had only one point ahead of the relegation place. Caen received at home Paris SG on the final day, with the season for the capitals already over. The goalless draw helped especially the underdog. Also this season the betting base expects the SM Caen to fight for the league. In the summer break, the southern French mostly disappointed. Caen conceded a bitter 0-6 defeat in July to underclass teams Le Havre. Since then they played another three friendly matches, where they could only win against Angers a victory. In the opening game against Paris SG, a goal would be a very big surprise. As soon as Ligue 1 was decided and Caen met Paris, the southern French have achieved good results. PSG had to score points but there were results of 6: 0. Also in the opening game in the new season Caen will have no chance and take a high defeat.
